1. 2-Layer Independent Waistband
The waist of the Pants is reinforced on the inside with a separate piece of black NOMEX® Outer Shell material not less than 2” in width. The NOMEX® Waistband is cut on the bias allowing it to expand slightly, facilitating stress-free movement. Neoprene coated cotton/polyester is sewn to the back of the Waistband as a reinforcement.
The top of the Liner system secures to the underside of the Waistband with snaps for a no-gap attachment reducing the possibility of Liner detachment while donning and doffing. An inward facing snap hook attached to a leather strap is triple riveted to the right front body panel in the waist area and engages the D-ring located on the fly flap when in the closed position.
2. Take-Up Straps
No more dangling straps, messy Velcro® or metal buckles to tear up truck seats! These Take-Up Straps are constructed of 1” wide black NOMEX® Twill and high-temp thermoplastic hardware for smooth operation. Positioned on each side of the waist, each Take-Up Strap employs a specially designed thermoplastic slide allowing quick, easy adjustment. A pull-tab of 1” black NOMEX® Twill is attached to the slide fastener and is pulled toward the front to tighten. This allows approximately 4” of adjustment per strap (8” overall).
 3. Diamond Crotch Gusset
Without a doubt, the crotch seams of Pants are placed under the most stress of any seams on the garment. Globe’s unique design distributes this stress over 5 double-stitched seams, virtually eliminating crotch failure and blowout. A Diamond Shape Gusset in all 3-layers provides freedom of movement without the bulk common in other systems. Globe’s Liner system is also reinforced at the base of the fly opening with a strip of NOMEX® Twill to keep the Liner from splitting and tearing.
4. Super-Duty H-Back Suspenders
Standard with every pair of GX-7 Pants, they move with you and adjust easily with no metal parts. Other optional styles are available.
5. Reverse Boot Cut
The Pant leg cuffs are designed and constructed so that the back of the leg is approximately 1” shorter than the front. This design feature minimizes the chance of premature wear of the cuffs and injuries due to falls as a result of “walking” on the Pant cuffs.
6. TRIMTRAX™
TrimTrax™ is the unique Globe trim thread protective system.
7. Expansion Knees
The Outer Shell of the GX-7 Pant legs are constructed with vertical expansion gussets on each side of the knee for added fullness and increased freedom of movement. The gussets are incorporated into the side seams and measure approximately 15” long with a maximum width of 2” and tapered at the ends. The Liner system is constructed with 4 darts in the front of the knee providing a natural bend. The darts on the Liner knee work together with the gussets on the Shell resulting in unrestricted movement when kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs or ladders.
Liner knees are always reinforced with an extra layer of Thermal Liner and Moisture Barrier material. See Knee Thermal Enhancements below.
8. Knee Thermal Enhancements
An additional layer of your specified Thermal Liner material is paired with an extra layer of your specified Moisture Barrier material and sewn to the knee area of the Liner system. This increased thermal insulation provides greater Conductive and Compressive Heat Resistance (CCHR) and padded comfort. The Knee Thermal Enhancement layers are sandwiched between the Thermal Liner and Moisture Barrier layers of the Liner system and are stitched to the Thermal Liner layer only.
