Barrier Materials

As a first responder, you have an increased risk of exposure to blood and body fluids on any given workday. Blood and body fluid exposures represent real risks for infections from blood-borne pathogens - Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV. And when the weather is miserable, your work doesn't take the day off.

Globe LifeLine CONVERTIBLE™, TECHRESCUE™ and EMSRESCUE™ use CROSSTECH® S/R and EMS fabrics exclusively because CROSSTECH® fabric provides durable penetration resistance and breathability unmatched by an other liquid protective barrier. We use a 2-layer laminated "Free-Hanging" liner system with the CROSSTECH® barrier laminated to the inner lining of the garment and not to the outer shell fabric. This system is the most flexible and least restrictive method while allowing for sewing options, lettering, or field repairs directly to the outer shell without penetrating the protective barrier. We use flame-resistant CROSSTECH® S/R fabric for CONVERTIBLE™, TECHRESCUE™ to certify to NFPA 1951 and NFPA 1999 and CROSSTECH® EMS fabric for EMSRESCUE™ to meet NFPA 1999.
